SEPUTAR CIBUBUR - The government continues to utilize Special Economic Zones (SEZs) as a driving force for equitable development and national economic growth.

Through fiscal incentives and ease of doing business schemes, SEZs are encouraged to attract investment, create jobs, and accelerate industrialization in various regions.

These efforts are showing tangible results. Data from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia shows that from January to the end of June 2025, cumulative investment realization across all Indonesian SEZs reached IDR 286.8 trillion.

Of this amount, IDR 35.2 trillion, or approximately 12.3 percent, came from SEZ Development and Management Entities (BUPP), while the largest contribution came from business actors, with IDR 251.6 trillion, or 87.7 percent.

Bandung Farmers Showcase Organic Coffee at WIITEX 2026

The Wangi Sawargi Farmers Group showcased its locally produced organic coffee brand, Wangi Coffee, from Pangalengan District, Bandung Regency, at the West Java International Industry and Trade Expo (WIITEX) 2026 in Bandung on June 14, 2026, as reported by Detikcom. The organic coffee is cultivated on a 25-hectare plantation owned by Perum Perhutani in Laspada, Mount Tilu, Pangalengan District. The coffee is specially produced to generate a distinctive aroma through natural fertilization methods and specific roasting techniques. Asep Agus Mulyana, Head of the Wangi Sawargi Farmers Group, explained that the idea for the product originated from his passion for the aroma of coffee. “The origin of Wangi Coffee comes from my love for the aroma of coffee. That inspired me to create a coffee product, and because I enjoy its fragrance, I developed this product,” said Asep Agus Mulyana. Asep added that although the coffee plants are physically similar to common varieties, the key difference lies in the aroma achieved through a unique roasting process. “Physically, it is the same. What distinguishes it is the aroma. There is a special blend and roasting method that brings out the fragrance,” he explained. In maintaining the plantation, the farmers consistently use organic fertilizers derived from coffee-processing waste and livestock manure to preserve crop quality. “This is fully organic. We utilize coffee waste, such as coffee husks, as well as goat manure. Fertilization is carried out twice a year without any chemical additives,” said Asep. According to Asep, the use of organic fertilization significantly reduces operational costs related to fertilization and spraying. Under optimal conditions, the plantation can produce up to 10 tons of coffee annually, with an average harvest of around 4 tons. However, production declined in 2026 due to crop failures caused by extreme weather conditions. “In 2026, production decreased because of crop failure caused by extreme weather, excessive rainfall, and crop rot,” Asep noted. Beyond providing economic benefits for local farmers, coffee cultivation has also been used as an environmental restoration initiative to reforest degraded areas in Pangalengan. “This effort supports community empowerment and the reforestation of barren forest areas. Our largest export market is the United States. Compared to Vietnam and India, Indonesia currently has certain advantages,” said Nining Yuliastiani. She noted that logistics costs for exports to the United States can still be managed through price adjustments negotiated between farmers and overseas buyers. “For logistics, there are price adjustments agreed upon with buyers abroad. 2 New Oil and Gas Contracts Officially Signed, Initial Investment IDR 246 Billion

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Two upstream oil and gas (oil and gas) contracts, namely for the Working Area (WK) or Amanah Block and Melati Block, were officially signed on Monday (14/10/2024). The two oil and gas block contracts have an initial investment value in the form of a Firm Commitment from the Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS) reaching US$ 15.85 million or around Rp. 246.5 billion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp. 15,555 per US$). The signing of the Cooperation Contract (PSC) was carried out by the Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto and each KKKS at the Indonesia Exploration Forum 2024 in Surabaya, East Java, Monday (14/10/2024). This event was also witnessed by the Acting Director General of Oil and Gas, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dadan Kusdiana. "This signing adds to the government's achievements in getting investors in upstream oil and gas business activities to encourage oil and gas exploration activities in Indonesia," said Dadan. Dadan said that the investment value of the Definite Commitment in WK Amanah was US$ 3,150,000 and WK Melati was worth US$ 12,700,000, so that the two WKs received a total definite commitment of up to US$ 15,850,000, with signature bonuses for each. West Java Provincial Government Records Revenue of IDR 36.68 Trillion, 2024 Regional Budget Surplus of IDR 1.75 Trillion

SUKABUMIUPDATE.com – The West Java Provincial Government has recorded positive performance in managing the 2024 Regional Budget (APBD). During the plenary session of the West Java Provincial Legislative Council on Thursday (June 12, 2025), West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan delivered a memorandum on the accountability of the implementation of the 2024 APBD. Erwan revealed that as of December 31, 2024, total regional revenue reached Rp36.68 trillion, or 101.08 percent of the target of Rp36.29 trillion. Thus, the budget surplus (SiLPA) for 2024 reached more than Rp1.75 trillion. This revenue consisted of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) of Rp25.31 trillion (101.72 percent of the target), transfer revenue of Rp11.35 trillion (99.69 percent), and other legitimate regional revenue of Rp23.19 billion (100 percent). Meanwhile, regional expenditure realization was recorded at Rp35.54 trillion or 96.31 percent of the budget ceiling of Rp36.91 trillion. “Alhamdulillah, from the overall budget transactions and realization of the 2024 APBD, we have managed to record a SiLPA of more than Rp1.75 trillion. This shows the efficiency and accountability that we continue to maintain in regional financial management,” said Deputy Governor Erwan. The regional expenditure includes operational expenditure of Rp19.98 trillion, capital expenditure of Rp2.11 trillion, unexpected expenditure of Rp784.11 million, and transfer expenditure of Rp13.44 trillion. The financial report also shows that the financial balance sheet as of December 31, 2024, recorded total assets of Rp46.14 trillion. These assets consist of fixed assets amounting to Rp28.97 trillion, long-term investments of Rp12.92 trillion, current assets of Rp2.52 trillion, and other assets and investment properties worth more than Rp1.7 trillion. On the other hand, total regional liabilities reached Rp2.95 trillion, while equity was recorded at Rp43.18 trillion. In its operational report, the West Java Provincial Government posted an operational surplus of IDR 813.64 billion and a non-operational surplus of IDR 22.99 billion. The total operational report (LO) surplus reached IDR 836.63 billion. "All of these achievements are the result of close cooperation between the local government, the Regional Representative Council, and all stakeholders. We should be grateful that we have been able to maintain an unqualified opinion from the Indonesian Audit Board for 14 consecutive years," said Erwan. In terms of cash management, the regional cash balance at the end of 2024 was recorded at Rp1.75 trillion, a significant increase compared to the initial balance of Rp800.40 billion. This increase came from a surplus of cash flow from operating activities of Rp3.25 trillion, a deficit of cash flow from non-financial asset investment activities of Rp1.73 trillion, and a deficit of cash flow from financing activities of Rp566.12 billion.
