Beware, Fraudulent Investments and Illegal Lending are Increasingly Rampant in Ciamis

Member of Commission XI DPR RI, Dr. Agun Gunandjar Sudarsa in collaboration with the National Resilience Forum, OJK Tasikmalaya and Diskominfo Ciamis held a financial services counseling event at a hotel in Ciamis, Tuesday (23/7/2024).

 


Agun Gunandjar Sudarsa said, the problem of illegal online loans (Pinjol), online gambling, fraudulent investments, and emok banks in Ciamis Regency is increasingly rampant.

 


“I in Commission XI DPR RI encourage the chairman of FKB Ciamis, Ijudin to immediately form a gambling eradication forum in Ciamis and we must provide vigilance against illegal investments and online loans,” Agun told the media crew.

 


“Including blocking the sites, because there are already quite a lot of victims reaching thousands of people but we return to the community. So activities like this are more about educating the public not to be easily tempted or lured by unreasonable offers,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of OJK Tasikmalaya, Melati Usman, said that handling online gambling, illegal online loans and mobile banks needs to involve the community directly in the education.

 


“We are also accompanied by the Head of the OJK institutional relations department, to jointly educate the Ciamis community to remain vigilant about the dangers of illegal online lending including fraudulent investments,” explained Melati.

 


Then, the Head of the Ciamis Communication and Information Office, Tino Armyanto, said that this counseling activity was very important. The reason is, through proper education, it is hoped that people can be wiser and more careful in choosing and using digital financial services.

Panjaitan said that until now, the construction of the factory is still ongoing and is certain to be completed by the end of this year.   "Of course, that is BYD's commitment to the government to complete our factory by the end of 2025," Luther told Bisnis, quoted Friday (10/1/2025).   Furthermore, he said, at the end of last year, the Ministry of Investment and Downstream/BKPM also visited the BYD factory and saw firsthand the construction process of the electric car factory from the Bamboo Curtain Country.   "Based on their [BKPM] inspection and visit, they saw that BYD was in accordance or on-track with the investment progress commitment that we conveyed at the beginning of the initial investment submission. Maybe special lanes are also needed in several corridors," said the Acting West Java Governor Bey Triadi Machmudin in West Bandung, Monday.   Bey said that from the planned 21 corridors when they operate later, currently there are only five corridors that are quite good, such as Dipatiukur-Jatinangor, Baleendah-BEC, Alun-alun-Padalarang, Leuwipanjang-Dago, and Leuwipanjang-Soreang.   "For the initial three corridors, 56 percent were on time, so we are optimistic that this will be a useful mode of transportation, especially for residents of Greater Bandung," he said.   Regarding travel time in relation to existing traffic and road width, Bey said that the BRT stops at each stop for a maximum of two minutes, and the headways are between adjacent bus units to avoid pile-ups, either on buses or at stops.   In the future, said Bey, infrastructure for the Greater Bandung BRT will begin to be built in early 2025, including an operations command center for managing bus units, CCTV equipment in buses for security.   "Also, an integrated payment system will be created with one payment for the entire corridor with crossing points created. Meanwhile, as of the first half of 2025, investment realization in Purwakarta has reached Rp 6.52 trillion, or around 58.23 percent of the annual target.   “Based on the first semester's achievements, we are optimistic that this year's investment target can be achieved and even potentially exceeded,” said Rian.   For comparison, in the previous fiscal year, Purwakarta also targeted investments of IDR 11.2 trillion. However, the realization achieved was only IDR 8.12 trillion, or around 72.5 percent of the target. This realization consisted of IDR 4.8 trillion in domestic investment (PMDN) and IDR 3.3 trillion in foreign investment (PMA).   According to Rian, the investment achievement in Purwakarta cannot be separated from the improving business climate and the local government's commitment to providing easy licensing and services to investors. "We strive to create a conducive, transparent, and fast investment climate.
