PROJABAR.COM - West Java's economy is showing encouraging performance. As of September 2025, investment realization in the province had reached IDR 218.2 trillion and successfully absorbed 303,469 workers. This achievement further solidifies West Java's position as a driving force for national investment.
West Java Governor, Dedi Mulyadi, commended all levels of local government and industry players for synergizing to create a conducive investment climate. He emphasized his commitment to continue maintaining this climate by simplifying permits, building infrastructure, and ensuring the safety and comfort of investors.
The contribution of investment to job creation is a tangible indicator of success. The employment figure of more than 300,000 people demonstrates the direct impact of economic growth on the community, through the creation of broader job opportunities.
Real Impact on the Workforce and Industrial Sector
This data complements the third quarter report of 2025, which recorded investment realization in West Java at IDR 77.1 trillion, the highest nationally. Significant investment growth, particularly in Domestic Direct Investment (PMDN), which surged 74.33%, has been a key driver of employment.
The manufacturing sector remains a mainstay, not only contributing the largest portion of the regional economic structure but also absorbing a significant number of workers. The information and communications, trade, and real estate sectors also show increasing contributions.
With strong investment realization and its impact on employment, West Java's economy is projected to continue growing sustainably. The Provincial Government will continue to focus on infrastructure development and bureaucratic efficiency to maintain this positive momentum.
