PR JABAR – The Deputy Regent of Majalengka, Dena Muhammad Ramdhan, officially opened the 2026 Majalengka Expo, part of a series of events commemorating the 186th anniversary of Majalengka Regency (HJK). The event was held at the Majalengka Lawas Market on Tuesday (February 3, 2026).

Deputy Regent Dena emphasized that the Majalengka Expo is not merely an annual ceremonial event, but rather a strategic opportunity to showcase the region's potential and attract investment from outside the region.

"186 years is not just a number. It reflects Majalengka's journey towards becoming a 'Majalengka Langkung Sae' (a prosperous Majalengka). Through the 2026 Majalengka Expo, we want to encourage foreign investment and strengthen the regional economy," said Dena.

He stated that one of the main focuses of this year's Majalengka Expo is strengthening the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector as the backbone of the community's economy.

The regional government, Dena said, is committed to defending and supporting MSMEs, especially in terms of facilitating licensing, promotion, and market access.

"MSMEs must be defended. They shouldn't be made difficult, but rather encouraged to improve their standing and become more competitive," she emphasized.

The 2026 Majalengka Expo showcases a variety of superior local products, from culinary delights and crafts to creative community innovations. In addition to promoting regional potential, this event is also expected to stimulate the economy and improve the welfare of the Majalengka community.

Subang Becomes an Industrial Magnet, Foreign Worker Supervision Tightened

Bandung – Subang Regency is currently undergoing a transformation. To ensure security and order, the Class I Immigration Office (Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I TPI) Bandung, together with the Foreigners Supervision Team (Tim Pora) of Subang Regency, has tightened supervision of foreign nationals (WNA) or foreign workers (TKA) operating in industrial areas. “The presence of Tim Pora in Subang Regency is expected to be the spearhead of coordinated supervision over foreigners,” said Yulianto Bimanegara, Head of Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement (Inteldakim) at the Bandung Immigration Office, on Friday (July 25, 2025). According to Yulianto, Tim Pora Subang is expected to serve as the frontline in ensuring foreign nationals’ presence complies with regulations and benefits development rather than harming it. Recently, a joint team from West Java National Narcotics Agency (BNNP), Regional National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol), Indonesian Armed Forces Intelligence (BAIS TNI), West Java State Intelligence Agency (BINDA), Police Resort (Polres), District Attorney’s Office (Kejari), Military District Command (Kodim), and local government conducted a joint operation in the Smartpolitan Industrial Area, Cipeundeuy District. This operation was a tangible step to prevent potential immigration violations in the field. “This is a concrete law enforcement and supervision effort aimed at maintaining security and order in Subang regarding the presence and activities of foreigners,” he stated. In addition, policymakers held discussions and coordination meetings at the industrial site, covering comprehensive data mapping of foreigners, including both industrial workers and foreign educators. They stressed the importance of regular data exchange between agencies. Furthermore, the Bandung Immigration Office and all Tim Pora members are fully committed to safeguarding the region against immigration threats. West Java Investment Policy 2026: Shifting from Quantity Targets to Quality and Equitable Benefits

The West Java Provincial Government has emphasized a new direction for its investment policy that focuses not only on the value of investment but also on quality, sustainability, and the equitable distribution of benefits across regions. This commitment was highlighted during the West Java Investment Forum 2026 organized by the West Java Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP), held at the DPMPTSP West Java Office Hall on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. According to data from Indonesia’s Ministry of Investment/BKPM, West Java’s investment realization from January to December 2025 reached Rp296.8 trillion, exceeding the annual target of Rp271 trillion or 109.9 percent of the target. This achievement places West Java as the province with the highest investment realization nationally for five consecutive years, while also generating employment for 454,046 workers across 27 regencies and cities. Head of the West Java DPMPTSP, Dedi Taufik, stated that this achievement should serve as a foundation to transform investment policy toward greater impact. “Going forward, investment in West Java should not only be pursued in terms of numbers. What matters more is its quality—how investment creates jobs, protects the environment, promotes regional equity, and generates added value for the community,” he said on Thursday, January 22, 2026. From a structural perspective, investment in West Java in 2025 was relatively balanced between Domestic Investment (PMDN) and Foreign Direct Investment (PMA). Domestic investment reached Rp149.8 trillion or 50.5 percent, while foreign investment amounted to Rp146.9 trillion or 49.5 percent. This condition reflects a healthy investment climate where domestic and foreign roles complement each other. The manufacturing sector remained the largest contributor with an investment value of Rp158 trillion, followed by the real estate sector at Rp33.2 trillion and the information and communication sector at Rp30.3 trillion. However, geographically, investment is still concentrated in certain areas. The five regencies with the highest investment realization in 2025 were Bekasi Regency with Rp81.8 trillion, Karawang Regency with Rp70.7 trillion, Bogor Regency with Rp32.4 trillion, Subang Regency with Rp18.2 trillion, and Purwakarta Regency with Rp12.4 trillion. This concentration indicates that around 70 percent of West Java’s investment remains centered in specific regions. According to Dedi, this situation represents both a challenge and an opportunity to promote more balanced investment based on regional potential. “Through this forum, we aim to encourage investment based on regional potential. Each region in West Java has its own advantages, and these must be translated into concrete investment projects ready to be offered,” he explained. Raup Rp60 T Jawa Barat Masih Jadi Tujuan Investasi Terbesar

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Daerah Jawa Barat masih menjadi tujuan investasi terbesar sepanjang 2021, bersaing ketat dengan DKI Jakarta. Mengutip paparan Menteri Investasi/Kepala BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, realisasi investasi sepanjang 2021 mencapai Rp901 triliun melebihi angka yang ditargetkan. Porsi penanaman modal asing (PMA) sebesar 50,4% lebih besar dari Penanaman Modal Dalam Negeri (PMDN) yang sekitar 49%. Adapun realisasi penanaman modal di luar Jawa masih lebih besar sebesar RP468,2 triliun atau dengan porsi 52%, dibandingkan dengan di Jawa senilai Rp432 triliun (48%). Secara rinci 5 besar daerah yang menjadi tujuan investasi terbesar antara lain: 1. Jawa Barat Rp59,9 triliun 2. DKI Jakarta Rp 54,7 triliun 3. Jawa Timur Rp52,5 triliun 4. Jawa Tengah Rp31,3 triliun 5. Kalimantan Timur Rp30,2 triliun. Bahlil menjelaskan, realisasi investasi terbesar sejak kuartal-III tahun 2020 dipimpin luar pulau Jawa. Bappeda selects potential investors for the second phase of TPPAS Lulut Nambo construction

Bandung (ANTARA) - The West Java Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) is still selecting potential investors to start construction of phase two of the Lulut Nambo Regional Waste Disposal and Final Processing Site (TPPAS), Bogor Regency, while waiting for phase one to operate. "In this second phase, West Java Clean Lestari (JBL) is currently selecting investment partners, so that if we get an investment partner, we will then enter (start construction) in phase two," said Head of West Java Bappeda Iendra Sofyan at Gedung Sate Bandung, Tuesday. Regarding the funds needed for the construction of the second phase of the Lulut Nambo Regional TPPAS, Iendra admitted that he could not provide information even though an assessment had been carried out that the funds needed were around IDR 400 billion. "Previously, it might have been that (the value), only now with inflation figures everything has started to change," he said. For phase one itself, Iendra said that currently the equipment has been installed and trials are being carried out with a capacity of 50 tons per day. The experiment is carried out two days a week and each week will increase to three days, five days, until one full week to be fully operational. "If he can carry out the process for one week, it will be declared that the tool will work well. The target is that in the next three weeks the trial will be completed, after that it will operate according to management targets," he said. For phase one, Iendra said the target is to be able to manage waste with a capacity of 100 tons per day, while if all these facilities are completed, it is projected to be able to manage as much as 2,300 tons of waste per day from Bogor City, Bogor Regency, Depok City and South Tangerang City. "For the time being (phase one) we are prioritizing Depok, where the TPA is starting to run out," he said. The Lulut Nambo Regional TPPAS, added Iendra, will use advanced technology which will divide and sort waste into three parts, namely compost, biomass and material waste in the form of RDF (refuse derifed fuel). This RDF waste will be taken by PT Indocement as the offtaker. "So the system is different from Sarimukti, for example, which is landfilled. But it is separated into several parts, some for making fertilizer, up to those that will be purchased by Indocement," he said. The West Java Provincial Government is targeting phase one of the Lulut Nambo Regional Waste Disposal and Final Processing Site (TPPAS) in Klapanunggal District, Bogor Regency, to be operational in March 2024. Bey Optimistic New Walahar Bridge Will Further Support Community Economy

Karawang, West Java (ANTARA) - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Triadi Machmudin is optimistic that the new Walahar Bridge which was inaugurated and is located in Kutapohaci Village, Klari District, Karawang Regency, Wednesday, will further support the community's economy. The reason is, said Bey, this bridge connects two districts in Karawang Regency, namely Ciampel and Klari which are on the border with Purwakarta Regency and helps accessibility for the community, the majority of whom work as traders. "The Walahar Bridge which was just inaugurated is proof of the government's presence in serving and providing convenience for connectivity and access to the community which has implications for the community's economy," said Bey in Karawang. Previously, the community used the Walahar Dam Service Bridge which was built in 1925 with a width of only three meters. For that, Bey instructed the Karawang Regency Government to follow up on the construction of the new Walahar Bridge with road development so that congestion can be resolved.
