This regency, which has an area of 2,051.76 km2, will soon have an industrial area called Subang Smartpolitan.

Many people interpret Subang Smartpolitan as a smart area.

This is because the area with an investment of IDR 5 trillion utilizes sophisticated IoT-based technology.

It is called a smart and sustainable city because it has a myriad of sophisticated and attractive facilities from industrial areas, education, entertainment, to housing.

Subang Smartpolitan is planned to be the future of West Java because it is included in the Rebana Metropolitan corridor expansion area.

This area is a combination of several regencies and cities, including Subang Regency, Sumedang, Majalengka Regency, Indramayu Regency, Kuningan Regency, Cirebon Regency, and Cirebon City.

Subang Smartpolitan is connected to the national infrastructure of the Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road or the Trans Java Toll Road and the transportation route to West Java Kertajati International Airport and the 37.05-kilometer Patimban Toll Road which will be completed in 2024.

The industrial area managed by PT Suryacipta Swadaya (Suryacipta), a subsidiary of PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA) is said to absorb a workforce of up to 4,000 human resources.

There are five manufacturing companies, the majority of which are from China, committed to joining Subang Smartpolitan to open their production.

The big companies are engaged in the automotive component industry sector, especially electric vehicles (EV).

As for Indonesia, several giant companies will also be established in Subang Smartpolitan.

PT BYD Motor Indonesia, PT Suryacipta Swadaya, Cititoy, and PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk are examples of companies that have opened production plants in Subang Smartpolitan.

Cititoy will later build a factory worth US 60 million in Subang Smartpolitan.

Luhut Inaugurates Athletics Training Center in Pangalengan Bandung, Focuses on Creating World Class Athletes

JABAR EKSPRES – General Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Athletics Association (PB PASI) who is also the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, inaugurated the new athletic training center in Banjarsari Village, Pangalengan District, Bandung Regency, Thursday (10 /10/2024). Present at the event were the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo, the Acting (Pj) Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin, and the West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Akhmad Wiyagus as well as several related stakeholders. This facility was built on 10 hectares of land in collaboration with BUMN and various other parties, and is intended as a training facility for national athletes with the aim of producing world-class athletes. According to Luhut, the establishment of this athletic facility has been a dream of PB PASI for decades, because they often use the Madya Stadium as a training ground. “Yes, I think this is PB Pasi's dream for decades. So, we have been depending on training at the Madya Stadium. "Moreover, the air pollution is very bad there," he said when met. According to him, this development plan was carried out three years ago and was even approved by President Jokowi. "And the President agrees, President Jokowi. We will do this, we got 10 hectares of this land from BUMN too," he said. Luhut added that the construction of this training was carried out at an international standard, from stadiums to training grounds. “I think the standards are international standards. Luhut also considers that Pangalengan is an ideal location for athletics because it has fresh air and a supportive atmosphere, different from big cities which are full of activity. Chinese Garment Companies Flock to Build Factories in West Java

The textile and textile products (TPT) industry in West Java has faced significant pressure in recent years. "From my presentation earlier, there are several garment factories from China that have come to us," said Dewi. "Maybe around 35% of the tenants from China that entered are engaged in the garment sector," she said. District Government Hopes MPP Can Boost Investment Into Majalengka

MAJALENGKA, TINTAHIJAUcom – Majalengka Regency Public Service Mall (MPP) is certain to be ready to serve the public starting next week. This is because the Majalengka Regency Government (Pemkab) plans to hold a soft opening of the MPP in the near future. Acting Regent of Majalengka, Dedi Supandi, said that the MPP would provide approximately 15 types of services from OPD within the Majalengka Regency Government to vertical agencies ranging from the Ministry of Religion, BPN, Immigration, Bank BJB, and others. These include business permits, electronic KTP recording, student transfers, health facility permit verification, KIP recommendations, subsidized fuel recommendations, building approvals, making district plan certificates, transportation permits, environmental management statements, and taxpayer registration. "Including Hajj registration provided by the Majalengka Ministry of Religion, information on the land certificate process from BPN Majalengka, passport making from the Immigration Office, and Bank BJB which opens banking services at the MPP," he said, Tuesday (12/11/2024). His party also accelerated the development of the MPP within six months, because Majalengka Regency is one of seven out of 27 regions in West Java that does not yet have an MPP. Hong Kong Investors Show Growing Interest in Indonesia’s Industrial Estates

Interest from Hong Kong investors in Indonesia’s industrial estates continues to increase, in line with the global supply chain shift toward Southeast Asia. This perspective was highlighted during the business forum “Indonesia Infrastructure Transformation – Unlocking Cross Border Investment Opportunities”, held in Hong Kong on March 4 and organized by HSBC and the Federation of Hong Kong Industries. During the forum, PT Suryacipta Swadaya, a subsidiary of PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk, presented its perspective on the development of industrial estates in Indonesia, particularly in relation to the ongoing global supply chain relocation. According to Suryacipta’s Chief Commercial Officer, Abednego Purnomo, investors today are not only looking for industrial land. Manufacturing companies are increasingly seeking industrial areas that provide integrated logistics systems, digital infrastructure, and support for energy transition. This shift in demand is also linked to Indonesia’s effort to reduce its national logistics costs.
