Investment trends in West Java continue to be positive. West Java is home to 14,000 companies which currently exist with investment. In 2024 West Java will contribute 148.5 percent of national investment growth or a value of around IDR 210 trillion (both PMA and PMDN). SOURCE

Garut Regency once again demonstrated its achievements by winning four awards at the 2024 West Java Creative Work and West Java Crafts Week (KKJ-PKJB) event. The event took place at the Trans Convention Center Ballroom, Bandung City, on Sunday (30/6/2024). The four awards are:1. 2nd Place in the 2024 West Java Featured Waste and Product Show;2. Most United Supporters Champion;3. 1st and 2nd Place for Best Products in the category of Products Made from Natural Fibers and Raw Fabrics. The Acting (Pj) Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin, stated that the enthusiasm and hard work of Garut Regency bore sweet fruit with the achievement of these four awards. "This is a trigger for us to move forward, of course with the tagline "Superior" we will be even more superior in the future," said Barnas. In this event, Garut Regency displays various superior products that have the potential to be sold nationally and internationally. Barnas invites all elements of society to continue to improve the economy through creativity, synergy, collaboration and innovation. Barnas also reminded all parties not to be satisfied with the current awards, and emphasized the relevant agencies to build a clear commitment to accelerating economic development in Garut. "Well, of course this will be our homework for the future," he said. In the 2024 West Java Featured Waste and Product Demonstration category, it was demonstrated by the Acting Regent of Garut and his wife, Sri Kartika Barnas Adjidin, and two heads of departments (Disperindag ESDM and Diskop UKM), displaying a fashion collection that combined Garut's typical cultural arts, namely silk, with the theme "People's Republic of China" - a cultural symphony that combines typical Garut silk fabric with Chinese cultural design elements. This collection combines floral and bird motifs from Garut by displaying the art of painting on the fabric. This combination of colors and motifs creates clothing that is rich in meaning and aesthetics, reflecting the life philosophy and cultural values of both nations. Bird and flower motifs create a deep visual narrative that shows the harmony between tradition and innovation that can be developed. This is an embodiment and cooperation between cultures, which not only promotes the beauty and uniqueness of each, but is also able to strengthen relations between countries. Meanwhile, one of the awards won by Garut was 1st Place in the Best Product Category Made from Natural Fibers and Fabrics, which was won by Viera Sutra Alam. The owner, Ruda Pratama, explained that their superior product is painted embroidery weaving which combines Garut's typical ATBM (Original Weaving. Not Machine) weaving with a painting process. "This product is not an old product, but is based on Garut characteristics with handloom weaving and silk fur patterns, then combined with painting," explained Ruda. Currently, Viera Sutra Alam markets its products online and offline through exhibitions and bazaars. "Of course, this hope is a trigger for entrepreneurs, for young entrepreneurs to continue to innovate, to continue to be able to create works with trends that continue to develop, and are accepted by the wider community," he said. Opened directly by the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, the West Java fashion show featured regional clothing made by 325 MSMEs with international styles. This is in accordance with the theme, namely West Java Waste Goes International, Local Products Penetrating the Global Market. According to Bey, the West Java literary demonstration shows the quality of MSME products that are ready to compete in the international market. MSME creativity supported by facilitation from PKJB and KKJ will have an impact on increasing exports of superior West Java products. "This is not just a style but shows the quality of MSMEs that are ready to compete in the international market. The key is creativity and this PKJB is a showcase that has a big impact on its products," said Bey. Bey welcomed the PKJB-KKJ event initiated by Bank Indonesia West Java Representatives and West Java Dekranasda which has consistently held it for 17 consecutive years. "I welcome this implementation because it has been held for 17 consecutive years," he said. Bey hopes that all West Javanese literature that is exhibited can be sent to the Embassy of each country that is the theme. Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Aida S Budiman, in his speech said that MSMEs also play an important role in controlling regional inflation, where one aspect of controlling inflation, availability of supply, is an important pillar that can be supported by MSME/Food Cluster players. "In the 2024 KKJ-PKJB, Bank Indonesia together with regional governments through the National Food Inflation Control Movement (GNPIP) program and the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) are also actively strengthening and expanding cooperation between regions, between business actors on a Business to Business (B2B) basis. ," said Aida. BI's support for MSMEs is also realized through the digitalization of payments using QRIS, which by April 2024, West Java will be the epicenter of QRIS user growth in line with its share reaching no less than 22 percent nationally or 10.8 million users. In campaigning for QRIS to support MSMEs in the tourism sector, at KKJ-PKJB 2024 the QRIS Jelajah Indonesia Kick Off was also inaugurated, which is a mission completion competition by exploring West Java tourist locations. "QRIS Jelajah Indonesia further complements various MSME development programs by Bank Indonesia, which are expected to further increase the contribution of MSMEs to West Java's economic growth," he said. In the same place, West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman agreed that the 2024 KKJ-PKJB event was a forum for continuing to expand financial and marketing access for West Java Creative MSMEs. In organizing the 2024 KKJ-PKJB, the West Java Provincial Government and West Java BI consistently prioritize showcasing and business matching, financing and marketing of MSME products, with future development increasingly focused on MSMEs that have implemented the green economy concept. "JTE 2024 is also equipped with talk shows on artisan tea business development, tea exports and tea mixology classes," he said. The commitment of the Indramayu Regency Government (Pemkab) to provide convenience and excellent service for the community to access public services continues. The Indramayu Regency Government is realizing this commitment, one of which is by presenting the Public Service Mall (MPP). The presence of the MPP is also an effort to transform the mentality of the priyai bureaucracy into a serving bureaucracy, as well as serving as a place for integrated licensing services in Indramayu Regency. It is hoped that the existence of the MPP can lead to an increasingly improving investment climate so that the people of Indramayu become more prosperous. This was conveyed by Indramayu Regent Nina Agustina at the joint inauguration activity of the MPP held by the Ministry for Administrative Reform and Bureaucracy (KemenPAN-RB) in Jakarta, Monday (24/6/2024). It is known that the joint inauguration of the MPP was carried out directly by the Minister of PAN-RB, Abdullah Azwar Anas together with regional heads who were present and was attended by 15 regencies/cities, one of which was Indramayu Regency. On the same occasion, Regent Nina together with Plt. Deputy for Public Services KemenPAN-RB, Akik Dwi Suharto Rudolfus also greeted the ASN who served in the MPP and expressed his appreciation for the commitment of all stakeholders in Indramayu Regency in providing services and invited them to continue to be consistent in providing ease and speed of access to public services for the community so that implementation existing services can be better. "Thank you all, super great team, since it was launched on December 28 2023 and today we have been inaugurated, God willing, we will provide the best service for the best and fastest community. Hopefully everything will be even better, Indramayu will be dignified," he said . Meanwhile, the Minister of PAN-RB, Abdullah Azwar Anas, in his speech expressed his appreciation on behalf of the government to regional heads who were present in person as well as the entire community and SKPD who were present online at the inauguration of the MPP. According to him, it is time for the government to provide optimal public services, because public services are the core of government so that the peak of bureaucratic activity is public services. The implementation of MPP is one of the government's strategies in an effort to continuously improve the quality of public services, because the integration of all services, both vertical, BUMN, BUMD and private agencies as well as regional agencies aims to provide services that are fast, easy, affordable, safe and comfortable for the community. Therefore, Anas also hopes that regional heads can conduct regular surveys to measure the level of community satisfaction with the services provided. He even assigned deputies and assistant deputies for public services to carry out surveys and directly check conditions in the field to see whether public service indicators were working or not. Because Anas said, when he checked in the field, there were several MPPs that were inaugurated online and had not implemented the provisions as required for the operation of the MPP. Thus, Anas emphasized that if a similar incident were encountered again, he would be grounded or reduce his status to no longer be included in the MPP category but simply become a one-stop service. However, with the inauguration of 15 MPPs on this occasion, the Minister of PAN-RB hopes that all regional heads and their staff can carry out their duties and public service indicators so that the presence of these MPPs can have an impact on bureaucracy and increase public satisfaction with public services.
