The 37.05 km Patimban Access Toll Road in Subang Regency, West Java, is currently still under construction.
Of the total 37.05 km, 22.94 km of toll road construction is the government's portion, while the remaining 14.11 km is built by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT).
The 22.94 km government portion is divided into four packages, namely package I for 7.69 km, package II for 6.2 km, package III for 5.5 km, and package IV for 3.55 km.
Regarding the construction progress, package IV has begun to carry out structural work such as bore piles, spun piles, footings, columns; as well as earthwork such as excavation and compaction of special materials (selected materials).
Meanwhile, for packages I, II and III, site clearing, earthwork, and structural work have been carried out.
Head of the West Java Province Freeway Implementation Unit (Satker PJBH), Yuanita Kiki Sani, explained that currently the BUJT portion, namely the Cipeundeuy Junction (JC) to the Pasir Bungur Interchange (SS), is still in the land acquisition stage.
Meanwhile, for the government portion, namely SS Pasir Bungur to Patimban, the construction progress has reached 23.250 percent.
“Hopefully, with the Patimban toll road, connectivity and logistics flow will be smoother, export activities from the Cikarang-Cibitung-Karawang industrial area will increase, and it can support the development of the Subang Regency area and its surroundings,” he said as quoted from the Ministry of PUPR's Directorate General of Highways page on Saturday (24/8/2024).
For information, the Patimban Access Toll Road has an investment value of Rp 5.02 trillion with a 50-year concession period. The construction of this toll road is targeted to be completed in 2025.
The construction of this toll road is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) to support accessibility to and from Patimban Port.
The Patimban Access Toll Road will also be connected to the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road at the Cipeundeuy Junction located at KM 89+475.
