Bandung, TarungNews.com – The Regional Government of West Java Province, together with Bank Indonesia West Java, held the West Java Creative Works (KKJB) and West Java Craft Week (PKJB) as part of the Sunda Karsa Fest series, from July 17 to 20, 2025, in Bandung.
Various activities in the Sunda Karsa Fest, themed "Maintaining Stability Through Synergy of Digital-Based Cultural Economy Ecosystem," include the West Java Regional National Craft Council (Dekranasda) Awards as part of West Java Craft Week (PKJB) 2025.
Assistant for Economy and Development of West Java Province, Sumasna, expressed appreciation for the event.
According to him, the Dekranasda West Java Awards is a special moment to appreciate the dedication, innovation, and resilience of creative economy actors and artisans in West Java.
"Through the Dekranasda West Java Awards, we witness extraordinary works that not only enrich local cultural heritage but also contribute significantly to the economic growth of West Java," said Sumasna after the opening of the awards at the Dekranasda office in Bandung, Thursday (July 17, 2025).
Sumasna said West Java Province, with its rich culture and excellent human resources, continues its commitment to boost MSMEs and the creative industry as the backbone of the economy.
"The provincial government allocates budgets through various regional devices for development training, promotion, and digital marketing access to empower business actors in West Java," he said.
In his speech, he also appreciated Dekranasda West Java for its dedication to promoting the creative economy development, especially in crafts, showcasing West Java’s character through superior products nationally and internationally.
"The same appreciation is extended to all parties dedicated to developing and introducing superior West Java creative economy products to the wider community," he added.
Sumasna added that the Dekranasda West Java Awards is evidence that collaboration between government, private sector, and community can create a globally competitive ecosystem.
"For business actors participating in Dekranasda West Java Awards, your works are West Java's pride, proof that local products can compete nationally and internationally. Keep innovating, maintain quality, and utilize technology to expand market networks," he urged.
"Never stop creating because every product you produce is a legacy for future generations and a driver for a more advanced West Java economy," Sumasna concluded.
Chairman of Dekranasda West Java, Noneng Komara Nengsih, stated that PKJB 2025 is also a promotional platform for the 27 Dekranasda of cities/regencies in West Java.
Besides product promotion, Noneng said the event also features a product innovation week from West Java artisans, workshops, and the Dekranasda West Java Awards.
"Previously, we received nine National Craft Awards, and hopefully, we can get more awards this time," she said.
Noneng hopes that PKJB can continue producing resilient artisans, boost West Java’s economic growth, and open new jobs to reduce unemployment in West Java.
