LENGKONG, AYOBANDUNG.COM – With an investment of IDR 18.3 trillion, West Java has a unique toll road like a hot wheels track that was just completed after 12 years.

West Java has a unique toll road that connects the areas of Bandung, Sumedang, and Majalengka which is named the Cisumdawu Toll Road or the Cileunyi - Sumedang - Dawuan Toll Road.

This 61.6 kilometer long toll road costs IDR 18.3 trillion, half of which comes from the APBN, while the rest comes from a cooperation scheme between the government and the private sector or business entities (KPBU).

Interestingly, this toll road has a unique icon that is not owned by other toll roads, namely the twin tunnel (Twin Tunnel).

This twin tunnel is located in Section 2 of the Cisumdawu Toll Road, 472 meters long, which is named the longest tunnel in Indonesia that is under a hill.

The twin tunnels were built using the innovative New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM) technology, which is useful for strengthening the soil before excavation.

When viewed from above, the twin tunnels make the Cisumdawu Toll Road look like a hot wheels track.

On the official bpjt.pu.go.id page, it is stated that the Cisumdawu Toll Road is the most beautiful toll road in Indonesia, one of the reasons being the unique twin tunnel icon.

In addition to having a unique twin icon of 472 meters, this toll road also connects the city of Bandung via the Cipularang Toll Road to the Cipali Toll Road.

The construction of the toll road which was inaugurated by the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo in July 2023, apparently started in 2011 during the leadership of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

However, in the process of its construction, the Cisumdawu Toll Road was hampered by several problems, one of which was land acquisition.

So it can be said that the construction of this 61.6 kilometer toll road was only completed after 12 years.

With the presence of this toll road, several parties claim that the route from Bandung to Cirebon via arterial roads that previously took 6 hours can be shortened to just 75 minutes.

In addition, this toll road also connects several areas in West Java, such as Bandung, Sumedang, Cirebon, to Majalengka which is the fastest access to Kertajati Airport.***

Majalengka Prepares New Industrial Estate in Sumberjaya to Boost Investment and Employment

The Majalengka Regency Government in West Java is preparing to develop a new industrial estate in Sumberjaya District. West Java land mapping for water pumps is requested to be completed by April 25 2024

Bandung (ANTARA) - Regional Secretary (Sekda) of West Java Province, Herman Suryatman, requested that mapping of land and farmers as potential recipients and prospective locations (CPCL) for the water pump program for rainfed rice fields in West Java be completed by April 25 2024. After completing the data collection, Herman said that the West Java Provincial Government would immediately submit the documents to the Ministry of Agriculture, which would distribute 5,000 pumps to irrigate 50,000 hectares of rain-fed rice fields in West Java. "So in a meeting with the Regional Secretary last Friday (19/4), it was requested that by April 25 2024 the target for CPCL data collection would be complete and we would send it to the Ministry of Agriculture so that West Java could execute the water pump network program for 50,000 hectares or 5,000 pumps," said Herman Suryatman when confirmed in Bandung, Saturday. Currently, said Herman, the mapping that has been submitted from districts and cities only covers 13,000 hectares or is only covered by around 1,300 pump units, where one pump can irrigate 10 hectares of rice fields. "That's why next week we have to finish collecting data for 50,000 hectares. But we still have to be accountable, that's why the Prosecutor's Office, Polri and TNI are involved to make this pumping program a success," said Herman. In this pumping program, initially the Ministry of Agriculture only provided 2,500 pumps for 25,000 hectares of rice fields. However, because the program was running well in West Java, the Ministry of Agriculture finally provided an additional 5,000 pumps.
