TRIBUNJABAR.ID, SUBANG - Subang Regent Reynaldy Putra Andita emphasized the importance of collaboration between the central and regional governments in creating legal certainty, especially in investment and land management.
He made this statement during a Coordination Meeting on Corruption Prevention through Improved Local Government Governance in Subang District. The event, initiated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), took place at the Regent's Official Residence in Subang on Thursday (August 28, 2025).
This coordination meeting aimed to monitor and evaluate governance in Subang Regency.
“We hope that the arrival of the team from the central government to Subang Regency can serve as a mediator for us to find a solution,” said Reynaldy in his speech.
He said that his office had deliberately held back a number of decisions related to investment so as not to cause problems in the future.
“When I attended a meeting at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency, I decided to put everything on hold. I asked the ministry to come directly to Subang and see the reality on the ground. I don't want to be known as a regent who forces industry to cause a lot of land use changes,” he said.
“We don't want investments to lack a foundation. I want legal certainty so that there will be no more overlaps in the future. I also hope that the regulations issued by the central government will not change, where today everything is allowed but later it is not,” he said.
Closing his remarks, he reaffirmed his commitment to better governance in Subang Regency.
“We want Subang Regency to be even better in the future in terms of industry and governance. We sincerely hope that concrete coordination will be established to optimize the governance of the Subang Regency local government,” he said.
The Head of the KPK Task Force, Arif Nurcahyo, said in his remarks that this agenda is part of efforts to prevent corruption through improving the government system.
“Today, we want to conduct monitoring and evaluation related to regional governance, especially in Subang Regency. We hope that we can collaborate together to optimize regional governance. If governance is good, then corruption will gradually disappear as the system improves,” said Arif.
Reynaldy also emphasized the importance of legal certainty in investment in Subang Regency.
