Inaugurates PLTS – Biogas at KSU Nugraha Jaya Cigugur Farm, Acting Governor: First time in West Java!

Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin inaugurated the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) – Nugraha Jaya Multipurpose Cooperative Biogas located at Cipari Village, Cigugur District, Thursday (18/07/2024). PLTS – Biogas is the work of the Bandung Institute of Technology which was handed over to KSU Nugraha Jaya. Accompanying the Acting Governor, the Acting Regent of Kuningan, Raden Iip Hidajat who accompanied him from the coaching event with Kuningan Regency Government officials in the pavilion. The visit from the number one person in West Java stated that the presence of PLTS - Biogas was a concrete step for West Java in utilizing new and renewable energy sources (EBT). "The benefits of PLTS - Biogas include that the beneficiaries can calculate managed cow dung and reduce river pollution due to cow dung by up to 657 tons per year," said Bey. Bey Machmudin also mentioned other benefits, namely estimating a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 848.65 CO2eq (carbon dioxide equivalent) per year. "Then, it is estimated that the savings obtained by farmers by using PLTS (conversion of price per kWh PLN) is IDR 94,555,440 per year," explained Bey. Another benefit, said Bey, is that he can estimate the savings obtained by farmers by using biogas (conversion from the price of 3 kg LPG) of IDR 17,730,240 per year. The presence of PLTS – Biogas can bring benefits by processing animal waste into biogas which really prioritizes the principle of zero waste. "The West Java Provincial Government really supports efforts like this, and it can be emulated in other regions," said Bey Machmudin. Net Profit in 1Q24 Plunged 21%; BJBR Invested in Securities Reached Rp11.51 Trillion

During the first six months of 2024, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten Tbk (BJBR) was only able to record a net profit of IDR 725.86 billion or a 21.11% drop compared to Semester I-2023 which amounted to IDR 920.14 billion. Based on BJBR's financial report for the period ending June 30, 2024 quoted on Sunday (4/8), the bank under the control of the West Java Regional Government was able to record revenue and sharia income of Rp7.76 trillion or grew 12.14 compared to the same period in 2023 of Rp6.92 trillion. Unfortunately, BJBR's management failed to optimize the control of interest and sharia expenses in the first half of 2024, which was recorded to swell 29.19% (year-on-year) to Rp4.47 trillion, so that net sharia income and interest became Rp3.29 trillion or fell 4.91% (y-o-y). In the first half of 2024, BJBR recorded other operating income of Rp989.27 billion or an increase of 15.1% when compared to other operating income in the same period in 2023 worth Rp859.47 billion. With other operating expenses amounting to Rp3.33 trillion in H1-2024, BJBR's operating profit amounted to Rp945.04 billion or slipped 14.8% compared to H1-2023 which reached Rp1.11 trillion. BJBR's income statement performance during the first six months of this year was further depressed by other operating expenses (net) which swelled 104.97% (y-o-y) to Rp11.95 billion, so that profit before tax in Semester I-2024 became Rp931.1 billion or fell 15.6% (y-o-y). As a result of income tax expense (net) in the first half of this year amounting to Rp160.17 billion, the profit for the year recorded by BJBR was Rp770.92 billion, or slumped 15.17% (y-o-y). The amount of profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent entity in the first semester of 2024 was IDR 725.86 billion, or a 21.11% drop (y-o-y). As of the end of June 2024, BJBR recorded a loan disbursement of Rp126.95 trillion or only grew 9.16% compared to December 31, 2023 which amounted to Rp116.3 trillion. As of June 30, 2024, total assets were recorded at IDR207.27 trillion, an increase of 10.07% (year-to-date), with cash and cash equivalents of IDR2.93 trillion, a decrease of 17% (y-t-d). The decrease in cash was influenced by the net cash flow used for investment activities amounting to Rp6.82 trillion or soared 360.81% (y-o-y), especially the placement of funds in securities which reached Rp11.51 trillion or soared 327.88% (y-o-y). As of June 30, 2024, total customer deposits amounted to Rp141.04 trillion, an increase of 10.68% (y-t-d), with total liabilities of Rp181.93 trillion, an increase of 11.22% compared to the position as of December 31, 2024 which amounted to Rp163.58 trillion. MQ Iswara Appreciates West Java Provincial Government's Performance for Impressive Investment Realization

RADARBANDUNG.id – Deputy Speaker of the West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), MQ Iswara, expressed his appreciation for the West Java Provincial Government's (Pemprov) performance, which he believes has maintained economic optimism amidst declining regional revenues in 2025. According to him, although West Java Province experienced a Rp 5.9 trillion decline in revenue due to the implementation of the Law on Financial Relations between the Central and Regional Governments (HKPD), investment realization in the West Java region has shown a very positive trend. "We welcome this achievement. Amidst declining regional revenues and a reduction in transfer funds of Rp 2.45 trillion, investment realization is actually encouraging," Iswara said in Bandung on Monday (October 20). Based on data he received, total investment realization in West Java through the third quarter of 2025 reached Rp 77.1 trillion. Iswara believes this achievement is crucial for maintaining West Java's economic stability amid declining regional revenues. "God willing, by the end of the year, the realization will be even higher. This is certainly the result of the performance of the Governor and the West Java Provincial Government, who have created a conducive business climate, guaranteed legal certainty, and an increasingly favorable investment climate," he said. "We hope that, amidst declining regional revenues, this investment can become a larger source of development financing," he continued. He added that West Java remains the largest recipient of transfer funds nationally, while also recording 16.7 percent growth in Foreign Direct Investment (PMA) in the third quarter. However, he believes special attention is needed because the portion of Domestic Direct Investment (PMDN) is currently larger than that of PMA. "This must be closely monitored by the DPMPTSP. This means efforts to attract foreign investment must be even more active. Currently, most of it comes from Singapore and Hong Kong, but in the future, this can be increased to include Japan, South Korea, and European countries with which Indonesia has good relations," Iswara said. Furthermore, he hopes this investment growth will have a direct impact on improving public welfare. "We hope this increase in investment will be directly proportional to the creation of new jobs and improved community welfare, especially around industrial areas," he said. Previously, the West Java Provincial Government received praise from the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Development/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) for successfully ranking first as the region with the highest investment realization in the third quarter of 2025. Jakarta was in second place, followed by Central Sulawesi, Banten, and East Java in the top five. Total national investment realization in the third quarter reached IDR 491.4 trillion. Of that amount, investment value in West Java reached IDR 77.1 trillion, or approximately 15.7 percent of the national total. The total investment value reached IDR 77.13 trillion, an increase of 36.34% compared to IDR 56.57 trillion in the same period the previous year. The Head of the West Java Provincial Investment and Investment Development Agency (DPMPTSP), Dedi Taufik, stated that this achievement demonstrates West Java's continued strong attractiveness as an investment destination, both for domestic and foreign investment.
