REBANA

Rebana Area or Rebana Metropolitan Areais a metropolitan area located in the province of West Java, Indonesia and was designed by Ridwan Kamil, the Governor of West Java.Drum Areais a new development area based on the core urban areain Cirebon, Patimban as the main port access and Kertajati as air access,abbreviatedTambourineand all its buffer areas such as Cirebon Regency, Sumedang Regency, Indramayu Regency and Kuningan Regency.[1] So that Drum Areaconsists of 7 districts/cities, namelySubang Regency, Indramayu Regency, Cirebon Regency, Majalengka Regency, Sumedang Regency, Kuningan Regency And Cirebon Citywhich has functional and agglomeration-based relationships between economic activities, agglomeration of social activities, agglomeration of built-up land, and a population agglomeration of at least one million people.

 

Development objectivesDrum Areanamely to realize the Rebana Area as a motor of economic growth in the north-eastern part of West Java based on investment development.integrated, innovative, collaborative, highly competitive, and sustainable.The development of the Rebana area is encouraged not to be exclusively separated into distant clusters. One urban or industrial area must encompass three functions.live, work, And play.

 

The Rebana Metropolitan Area was inaugurated based onPresidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 87 of 2021regarding the Acceleration of Development of the Rebana Area and the Southern Region of West Java,West Java Governor Regulation Number 84 of 2020regarding the Action Plan for the Development of the Cirebon-Patimban-Kertajati Area 2020-2030 which has now been changed toWest Java Governor Regulation Number 14 of 2023regarding the 2020-2030 Rebana Area Development Action Plan,West Java Governor Regulation Number 85 of 2020regarding the Cirebon-Patimban-Kertajati Area Management Agency which has now been changed toWest Java Governor Regulation Number 15 of 2023Regarding the Rebana Area Management Agency. The Rebana Area is projected to boost the economy by 7.16% by 2030, create 4.39 million jobs, and increase investment through a 7.77% increase in economic growth.

 

StrategicallyMetropolitan Rebanaalready connected to infrastructure supporting regional connectivity, namely the Trans Java toll road, double track railway, freight and passenger terminals, as well as other supporting infrastructure such as dams, geothermal,Hydro Power Plant, Balongan Oil Refinery, Final Disposal Site. With 3 main hubs, namelyPatimban Port, Kertajati International Airport, Cirebon Port.Apart from being supported by regional connectivity,Metropolitan RebanaIt also oversees 81 projects equivalent to National Strategic Projects as stipulated in Presidential Regulation Number 87 of 2021. It covers an area of ​​more than 43,000 ha across 13 Industrial Zones within the Rebana Area.

 

Currently Metropolitan Rebana is managed byRebana Area Management Agencywhich is a mandate fromWest Java Governor Regulation Number 15 of 2023Regarding the Rebana Area Management Agency, its functions are Coordination, Facilitation, Control, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation.

 

On April 27, 2023, Bernardus Djonoputro was appointed by the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, asHead of the Rebana Area Management AgencyFirst, the establishment of the Rebana Area Management Agency is intended to accelerate the implementation of the Rebana Area Development Acceleration Master Plan and the Rebana Area Development Action Plan by improving investment services, workforce absorption, supporting infrastructure development, and other economic development efforts in the area to boost regional economic growth.
