West Java Diaspora Departs Seven MSME Products to Australia
PORTALJABAR, KOTA BANDUNG - West Java Diaspora Program Chapter 2 dispatched seven MSME products for export to Australia, Thursday (15/2/2024).
Export of MSME products thanks to collaboration between the West Java Cooperatives and Small Business Service and the West Java Regional Secretariat's Government and Regional Autonomy Bureau.
The seven MSME products sent to Australia were produced by CV. Samara Micron Saleronell, MSME-based industry in the Holis area, Bandung City.
The seven products exported include packaged potato chips with various flavors, as well as traditional Indonesian spices or condiments such as gepuk seasoning, yellow rice, rendang, Padang sauce, soto, plus kebuli rice seasoning.
West Java Diaspora itself is a program aimed at increasing the economy and investment in West Java.
Even though initially the volume of goods sent was still relatively small, this was a significant step forward for the development of the MSME industry in West Java.
This also emphasizes the potential of the diaspora market as a valuable opportunity for MSME business actors.
Regarding the economy and investment, the entry of seven West Java MSME products into the Australian market has had a significant positive impact. Moreover, this step is carried out through support and collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Marcelina Jasmin Sutisna, founder of Samara Micron, stated that she was very enthusiastic about the opportunity to expand the market overseas.
"The collaboration through the West Java Diaspora Forum has opened the door for us to access a wider market, and we hope this is only the beginning of many successes to come for the MSME industry in West Java," said Marcelina.
The West Java Provincial Government is committed to continuing to support and strengthen efforts to improve community welfare through developing the MSME sector and promoting exports to foreign markets through the Indonesian Diaspora, by exploring MSME market opportunities in other countries.
