TPPAS Lulut Nambo Bogor requires an investment of IDR 900 billion to operate

Kabupaten Bogor (ANTARA) - PT Jabar Bersih Lestari, which is a subsidiary of the Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) of West Java Province, PT Jasa Sarana, said that the Lulut-Nambo Waste Processing and Final Processing Site (TPPAS) in Bogor Regency requires an investment of IDR 900 billion to be operational.

"We are still waiting for investors, we are in the phase of attracting investors, currently still in process, the investment is around IDR 900 billion," said the Main Director of PT Jabar Bersih Lestari (JBL) Gun Gun Saptari Hidayat at TPPAS Lulut Nambo which is located in Klapanunggal, Bogor Regency, Java West, Wednesday.

PT JBL, which is a subsidiary of PT Jasa Sarana, will implement a government-business entity (KPBU) cooperation mechanism with investors or private companies in managing the Lulut Nambo TPPAS.

Currently, an assessment process is underway for potential investor companies. According to Gun Gun, the assessment needs to be carried out selectively considering that potential investors previously had to cancel work midway.

"Now we are in the investor assessment process, we will inform you later (of the results). Initially the first investor had agreed to build, it had started, then there were problems in the middle of the road. Indeed, the PPP has a lot of dynamics. We ask for prayers," said Gun Gun.

After the work was abandoned by investors, the Lulut Nambo TPPS, which was built in 2017, finally received budget support from the West Java Provincial Government in the form of Regional Capital Inclusion (PMD) of around IDR 60 billion to complete phase one of construction.

Now, during the trial period, the Lulut-Nambo TPPAS is capable of processing 50 tons of waste per day and producing biomass and "refuse derived fuel" (RDF) of around 40 percent of the weight of the waste processed.

Gun Gun said that if the Lulut-Nambo TPPAS had been built from an investment of IDR 900 billion, it would be able to process around 1,800 tons to 2,300 tons of waste a day.
