Repairs to Darmaraja-Wado Ring Road Completed Before Eid
PPS - The Jatigede Ring Road section from Darmaraja-Wado has begun repairs and is targeted for completion before Eid. "Good news for residents of the Darmaraja-Wado community. The Jatigede Ring Road for the Darmaraja-Wado section has begun to be surveyed and next week it will be repaired," said Acting. Regent of Sumedang, Herman Suryatman, Sunday (31/3/2024).
He said that the improvement of the Darmaraja-Wado road was the result of synergy between the West Java Provincial Government and the Sumedang Regency Regional Government. "This is a form of synergy between the Regional Government, district and province," he said.
He also targets that before Eid, the road section has been repaired and can be used for homecoming. "God willing, before Eid, the road work will be completed and it can be used for homecoming trips to the Sumedang area, especially those going home to Darmaraja, Wado and Jatinunggal. We ask for prayers from the people of Sumedang," he said.
He added that the road infrastructure development for Wado District from the 2024 APBD reached IDR 1.8 billion. "The budget includes rehabilitation of the Pasirpadang-Ganjaresik road section Rp. 1.36 billion, improvement of the Buter-Sukanyiru road Rp. 309 million more and reconstruction of the Ciheulang-Galemo strategic road section (TPT and drainage channels) Rp. 135 million more," he said.
Meanwhile, Herman continued, the total allocation for road construction or maintenance in 2024 for Sumedang Regency is IDR. 57.732 billion. "The target percentage level for the condition of the Regency's roads, which means good and moderately damaged, in 2024 is 91.5 percent. After previously reaching 88.24% in 2023," explained Acting.
