Phase one of the Lulut Nambo Regional TPPAS is targeted to operate in March 2024
Bandung (ANTARA) - The West Java Provincial Government is targeting phase one of the Lulut Nambo Regional Waste Disposal and Final Processing Site (TPPAS) construction project to operate in March 2024.
Acting (Pj) West Java Regional Secretary Taufiq Budi Santoso said that phase one of the Lulut Nambo TPPAS in Klapanunggal District, Bogor Regency, which is currently in the trial period, can serve the community in four districts and surrounding cities within the intended time.
"The plan is that in March 2024, phase one can be inaugurated," said Taufiq in a statement in Bandung, Friday.
During this trial period, TPPAS Lulut Nambo received several trucks carrying waste from the surrounding area.
The waste then enters a shredding machine for biological processing. After that, the waste processing results are separated into three parts, namely compost, biomass and material waste in the form of RDF (refuse derifed fuel).
This RDF waste will later be taken by PT Indocement as the offtaker.
"Now the focus is on testing. There have been RDF results obtained from this processing and there is even biomass that can be used as an alternative fuel," said Taufiq.
He is optimistic that the operation of Lulut Nambo TPPAS will go according to plan. Licensing for TPPAS is currently being processed by the Central Government and the Bogor Regency Government.
"By looking at the current conditions, we at least have optimism that this first stage can operate in the future depending on the permits that are being processed at the Central Government and permits at the Bogor Regency Government," said Taufiq.
Once fully operational, Lulut Nambo TPPAS will serve four areas, namely Bogor City and Regency, Depok City and South Tangerang City.
TPPAS, which has an area of 55 hectares, will be able to accommodate 1,800-2,300 tons of waste per day.
