Hutama Karya Prints Net Profit of IDR 1.8 Trillion in 2023

Jakarta, InfoPublik – PT Hutama Karya (Persero) scored a net profit of IDR 1.8 trillion in its 2023 audited financial report as of March 30 2024, growing 521 percent compared to the previous year or year on year (yoy).

 

"The company's revenue also showed good performance until the end of 2023, namely IDR 26.93 trillion or an increase of 11.81 percent, when compared to the same period of IDR 24.08 trillion," said the Main Director of Hutama Karya, Budi Harto, in his statement as quoted on Wednesday. Budi Harto explained that this profit gain was a turning point for the comprehensive transformation carried out by this State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), starting from financial aspects, business development and investment.

 

"One of the corporate actions carried out is asset recycling which was carried out on the investment collaboration on two sections of the Trans Sumatra toll road, namely the Medan - Binjai toll road (16.8 kilometers or km) and Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar (140.9 km) together with Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) worth IDR 20.5 trillion in June 2023," he explained.

 

Furthermore, Budi Harto explained that from this investment collaboration, there was an improvement in the company's liabilities from IDR 70.53 trillion to IDR 53.11 trillion or a decrease of 24.70 percent.

Hutama Karya's equity was also recorded to have strengthened by IDR 116.62 trillion from the previous IDR 85.78 trillion or an increase of 35.96 percent.

 

In terms of obtaining new contracts, Hutama Karya also succeeded in pocketing a fairly significant new contract value from the previous period, namely from IDR 19.85 trillion in 2022 to IDR 30.88 trillion in 2023 or an increase of 55.51 percent yoy, most of which was dominated by road work. and Bridge.

 

"Hutama Karya is helping to accelerate the development of the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago by working on six infrastructure projects, including the Balang Island - Sp Riko IKN Toll Road, two Coordinating Ministry Office Buildings and Areas, one Waste Water Pipe Network and three IKN Central Government Core Areas, " said the Main Director of Hutama Karya.

 

According to Budi Harto, the improvement in Hutama Karya's financial performance can also be seen from the strengthening of the company's consolidated assets amounting to IDR 169.74 trillion in 2023 or an increase of around 8.59 percent from IDR 156.32 trillion in the previous year.

 

This positive performance on the company's finances is considered to be a collective success based on strong transformation.
