PORTALJABAR, KAB. GARUT - Garut Festival (G Fest) 2023 officially closed with the Night of Investment and Cultural Enchantment at the Garut Art Center, Garut Regency, on Thursday (28/12/2023) evening.

The closing of G Fest 2023 is not only the end of the annual festival, but also a symbol of progress and collaboration in Garut Regency.

The Regent of Garut appreciated all parties who have supported his government for almost a decade and invited investors to continue investing in Garut Regency.

"Thank you everyone, I just invite us to invest in Garut Regency, in Garut Regency the workforce is productive," he said.

Head of the Garut Regency Energy and Mineral Resources Trade Industry Service (Disperindag ESDM), Ridwan Effendi, said that the event was a collaboration with the Garut Regency Tourism and Culture Service (Disparbud). He emphasized that even though this event coincided with the end of the term of office of the Regent and Deputy Regent, G Fest was still lively and received a warm welcome from the public. He considered the event to be lively but also full of emotion, because that night was the farewell night for the Regent of Garut and the Deputy Regent of Garut.

"Of course, G Fest can run every year and can involve more parties, including the government, private sector and of course the community," he said.

Head of the Garut Regency Tourism and Culture Office, Agus Ismail, stated that this event was a symbol of appreciation for the development that had been carried out, especially in the tourism, creative economy and culture sectors.

The various investments that have entered Garut, added Agis,  are an extraordinary contribution to the progress and welfare of the people of Garut Regency. He hopes that this Night of Investment and Cultural Enchantment activity can provide special meaning at the end of Rudy-Helmi's term of office after leading Garut Regency for the last decade or so.

According to him, Garut Regency has extraordinary potential, so he hopes that investment in the industrial and tourism sectors will be able to generate investment in other sectors.

The 2023 Garut Investment and Cultural Enchantment Night was also enlivened by the 2023 Garut Cultural Arts procession entitled "One Decade of Rudy-Helmi" and a Garut woven fashion show. The excitement of this event was closed with a performance from the capital's artist, Firman Siagian, a famous singer with the song "Lost", and closed by singing the Koes Plus song "Kapan-Kapan", which was sung together by the Regent of Garut, Deputy Regent of Garut, and Firman Siagian, uniting all attendees in a harmonious atmosphere.

This closing event was attended by the Regent of Garut, Rudy Gunawan, Deputy Regent of Garut, dr. Helmi Budiman, along with his wife, members of the Garut Regency Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), as well as representatives of various investors in Garut Regency and other invited guests.
