The Department of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) together with Bank Indonesia are collaborating to encourage economic growth in West Java through the investment side.

In 2024, DPMPTSP and BI in the Regional Investor Relations Unit (RIRU), collaborate to organize an Investment Challenge.

The Investment Challenge is an innovation from both of them in the form of holding a competition as part of an effort to increase the number of Investment Projects Ready to Offer in West Java.

In this first event, the competition focused on exploring the potential of districts/cities throughout West Java. The series of activities include capacity building, preparing a business model canvas, preparing a pitch deck and pitch presentation.

Head of DPMPTSP Nining Yuliastiani said that all Investment Challenge events will produce 2 (two) superior investment projects from Regencies/Cities which will have the opportunity to receive assistance facilities for preparing Feasibility Studies and Business Cases.

Furthermore, this facility also has the potential to continue to provide opportunities to participate in investment promotion activities with potential foreign investors, as well as assistance in carrying out business matching.

In this Investment Challenge there are 3 selection stages, namely the top 10 best Business Model Canvas (BMC), the 5 best BMC and finally the 2 best BMC will be produced.

The Investment Challenge event, Investment Roadshow is part of a series of road to West Java Investment Summit (WJIS) 2024 as a form of innovation and sustainable efforts from RIRU BI West Java together with the West Java Provincial Government to encourage the realization of West Java investment thematically to support sustainable economic growth.

"We have carried out the 2024 Investment Challenge together with the West Java Provincial Government starting in early 2024 with the number of participants / curated investment projects reaching 26 investment projects," said Kpw BI West Java Muhamad Nur.

WJIS 2024 will be held in September or October 2024 with the theme "Unlock West Java Potential." (rep guh)
