Bisnis.com, BANDUNG - The West Java Provincial Government in collaboration with the West Java Representative Office of Bank Indonesia, held the West Java Investment Roadshow 2024 at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta, this week.

The event aims to strengthen sustainable synergies in infrastructure, agriculture, and tourism throughout West Java.

The roadshow was attended by a number of key officials, including Director of the Directorate of Promotion for Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Saribua Siahaan; Deputy Head of Bank Indonesia West Java Representative Office Muslimin Anwar; Head of West Java Housing and Settlement Office Indra Maha; and Deputy Regent of Sukabumi Iyos Somantri.

The roadshow is intended to demonstrate a strong commitment to investment development in West Java.

Head of the West Java Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP) Nining Yuliastiani emphasized West Java's commitment to maintaining its position as a major investment destination in Indonesia.

"With rapid globalization, technological advances, and changing market dynamics, West Java needs to have a new perspective in interacting with investors," said Nining, Friday (21/6/2024).

Nining said West Java is currently home to more than 14,000 companies with an investment value of Rp210.7 trillion in 2023, which represents 148.5% of national investment realization.

"West Java offers a stable and friendly business environment, supported by a transparent regulatory framework and government support," she said.

West Java's strategic location that offers access to Indonesia's domestic market and ASEAN economies is one of the main advantages. In addition, world-class infrastructure projects, such as the new port in Patimban, Subang, have increased the province's investment attractiveness.

The province's skilled workforce and commitment to renewable energy and digitalization are also key supporting factors.

With the theme "SUSTAINABLE SYNERGIES: ENHANCING INFRASTRUCTURE, AGRICULTURE, AND TOURISM IN WEST JAVA" the event held in Jakarta reflected the province's commitment to collaborative growth and sustainable development in key sectors.

Nining said there were eight projects offered to investors at the roadshow.

First, Jatigede Regional Water Supply System owned by West Java Provincial Disperkim; Sinumbra Regional Water Supply System owned by Java Provincial Disperkim; The Downstream Development in South Bandung Regional Water Supply System owned by PT Tirta Gemah Ripah; Construction of an Integrated Poultry Processing Industry driven by Ciamis district; Development of Modern Rice Processing Industry offered by Sukabumi district.

Then, Bagendit World Class Tourism offered by Garut district; Clean Water Service for Patimban Sea Port, Special Industrial Zone, Domestic Area offered by Subang district; Optimizing of Water Supply System in Jatiluhur District, Purwakarta offered by Purwakarta district.

"Projects number 4 to 8 are part of the Investment Challenge program. This program aims to challenge regencies and cities in West Java to explore their investment opportunities, so as to attract more investors and boost local economic growth," she said.

Nining confirmed that the West Java Provincial Government is committed to providing an efficient investment process through dedicated investment promotion agents.

They offer competitive investment packages with attractive fiscal and non-fiscal incentives as well as support from strategic investment advisory services.

The roadshow is part of the annual West Java Investment Summit (WJIS) scheduled for late September 2024. The event aims to provide investors with in-depth knowledge on how best to invest in West Java, emphasizing the region's potential for sustainable and inclusive growth.

Nining Yuliastiani invited the audience to explore the abundant investment opportunities in West Java. "We look forward to your investment and business expansion in West Java," she concluded.
