Information regarding the president's visit was conveyed by the President's Special Staff, Ari Dwipayana, at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta. Ari confirmed that during the visit, President Jokowi would inaugurate several important projects including the State Palace. He stated, "There is an agenda for the President to visit IKN on October 11 2024. It seems there will be several inaugurations and groundbreakings, including the State Palace."

In the official agenda, President Jokowi will also invite 16 entrepreneurs working in the mining sector to attend. It is hoped that their presence will increase investment interest in IKN. This was emphasized by the Minister of Investment, Rosan Roeslani, after meeting with President Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace.

Rosan explained, "God willing, we will review it directly. Later Friday, the plan that was present here will review it directly with IKN. So that it will generate interest in even greater investment."

The majority of the 16 entrepreneurs invited came from the coal sector in Kalimantan, and they have formed a consortium. This consortium will focus on investing in projects related to public infrastructure, such as the construction of parks, restaurants and other public facilities related to people's lifestyles.
