DISKANAK - The Sukamaju Village livestock group, Rancakalong District, is preparing a cage for 500 DOC Sentul chickens. These chickens are assistance from the West Java Provincial Government for breeders in Sumedang.

According to the Head of the Sumedang Regency Fisheries and Livestock Service (Disanak), Tono Suhartono, this assistance came from assistance from the West Java Provincial Government.

"The assistance for 500 DOC chickens from Sentul is currently still being processed, however the group already knows about it so they are expected to start preparing the cages," explained Tono, Saturday, April 20 2024.

Tono explained that Sentul chickens were chosen because this type of chicken has several advantages, including easy feeding, resistance to disease, easy maintenance and at 20 weeks of age it can produce eggs every day.

Tono also hopes that the assistance of 500 DOC Sentul chickens can be put to good use by the Sukamaju Rancakalong Village livestock group.

"Of course, we also hope that this assistance will help stimulate the livestock sector, especially in Sukamaju Village, which in turn can also increase people's income.
