West Java Records Investment Record of IDR 251.1 Trillion in 2024

Warta Ekonomi, Bandung - In 2024, West Java's investment performance again recorded an achievement with a total investment reaching IDR 251.1 trillion, making West Java the province with the highest investment value in Indonesia and equivalent to 14.7% of national investment realization.

Compared to other provinces in Java, West Java Province's growth achievement is the second highest after DI Yogyakarta. Growth mainly comes from increased community mobility during the Christmas and New Year holidays and high investment.

Head of the West Java Bank Indonesia Representative Office, Muhamad Nur, expressed his appreciation for the achievement of West Java's investment performance in 2024. He emphasized Bank Indonesia's commitment to overseeing investment and economic growth in 2025 amidst the challenges faced.

Bank Indonesia will continue to synergize with the West Java Provincial Government in realizing the achievement of Asta Cita, including through investment development that will support the achievement of the 3rd Asta Cita, Increasing quality employment, encouraging entrepreneurship, developing creative industries, and continuing infrastructure development.

"This synergy is expected to continue to drive economic growth in West Java, make West Java more competitive and attractive to investors, and create a positive impact on the regional economy," explained Nur at the Bewara Jawa Barat (BEJA) event in Bandung, Tuesday (11/2/2025).

Meanwhile, the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, also expressed his appreciation for the achievement of West Java's investment realization in 2024. Bey hopes that this investment realization will have a real impact on improving people's welfare.

The strong commitment of the West Java Provincial Government in creating a good investment climate is also proven by the achievement of the Investment Service Award (ALI).

West Java land mapping for water pumps is requested to be completed by April 25 2024

Bandung (ANTARA) - Regional Secretary (Sekda) of West Java Province, Herman Suryatman, requested that mapping of land and farmers as potential recipients and prospective locations (CPCL) for the water pump program for rainfed rice fields in West Java be completed by April 25 2024. After completing the data collection, Herman said that the West Java Provincial Government would immediately submit the documents to the Ministry of Agriculture, which would distribute 5,000 pumps to irrigate 50,000 hectares of rain-fed rice fields in West Java. "So in a meeting with the Regional Secretary last Friday (19/4), it was requested that by April 25 2024 the target for CPCL data collection would be complete and we would send it to the Ministry of Agriculture so that West Java could execute the water pump network program for 50,000 hectares or 5,000 pumps," said Herman Suryatman when confirmed in Bandung, Saturday. Currently, said Herman, the mapping that has been submitted from districts and cities only covers 13,000 hectares or is only covered by around 1,300 pump units, where one pump can irrigate 10 hectares of rice fields. "That's why next week we have to finish collecting data for 50,000 hectares. But we still have to be accountable, that's why the Prosecutor's Office, Polri and TNI are involved to make this pumping program a success," said Herman. In this pumping program, initially the Ministry of Agriculture only provided 2,500 pumps for 25,000 hectares of rice fields. However, because the program was running well in West Java, the Ministry of Agriculture finally provided an additional 5,000 pumps. "The Ministry of Agriculture has provided 2,500 pumps, then because the field is good the Ministry of Agriculture will add another 2,500 pumps for a total of 5,000 pumps for 50,000 hectares of rain-fed rice fields," he said. District Government Hopes MPP Can Boost Investment Into Majalengka

This is because the Majalengka Regency Government (Pemkab) plans to hold a soft opening of the MPP in the near future. Acting Regent of Majalengka, Dedi Supandi, said that the MPP would provide approximately 15 types of services from OPD within the Majalengka Regency Government to vertical agencies ranging from the Ministry of Religion, BPN, Immigration, Bank BJB, and others. These include business permits, electronic KTP recording, student transfers, health facility permit verification, KIP recommendations, subsidized fuel recommendations, building approvals, making district plan certificates, transportation permits, environmental management statements, and taxpayer registration. "Including Hajj registration provided by the Majalengka Ministry of Religion, information on the land certificate process from BPN Majalengka, passport making from the Immigration Office, and Bank BJB which opens banking services at the MPP," he said, Tuesday (12/11/2024). Bandung City Prepared to Host the 2026 Selangor International Business Summit
