Bisnis.com, BANDUNG – Investor confidence in placing capital in West Java Province shows a positive outlook in the realization of investment in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, according to data released by the Ministry of Investment and BKPM on Tuesday (July 29, 2025).
Indonesia’s investment realization in Q2 2025 reached IDR 477.7 trillion, an 11.5% increase compared to the same period last year. This figure is also higher than the first quarter’s IDR 465.2 trillion.
BKPM recorded West Java’s contribution at 15.2% of the total realization, ranking it first among provinces with the highest investment realization in both foreign direct investment (FDI) and domestic direct investment (DDI) sectors in Q2 2025, with a figure of IDR 72.5 trillion.
Other provinces in the top five for Q2 2025 investment realization include Jakarta (IDR 71.1 trillion or 14.9%), East Java (IDR 38.6 trillion or 8.1%), Central Sulawesi (IDR 31.6 trillion or 6.6%), and Banten (IDR 29.7 trillion or 6.2%).
Responding to this realization, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi appreciated the support of all West Java citizens who have maintained a conducive investment climate until the positive Q2 2025 realization was achieved.
“Thank you to all West Java citizens who have managed to sustain investment,” he told the media.
Investment and Downstream Industry Minister/ BKPM Head Rosan Roeslani, during a press conference, said that the industries with the highest investment realization in West Java in Q2 2025 include motor vehicles/other transportation equipment and housing.
“When broken down, the regency with the largest contribution to investment realization in Q2 2025 in West Java is Bekasi Regency with a value of IDR 18.75 trillion, followed by Karawang, Subang, Bogor, and Bandung City,” he said.
Previously, to realize a conducive investment climate and create jobs, Governor Dedi Mulyadi (commonly known as KDM) collaborated with the West Java Regional Police and Metro Jaya Police to ensure the safety and order of citizens.
“For investment to grow healthily and create many jobs, efforts have been made to strengthen security basics in industrial zones and promote a conducive economic climate, protecting MSMEs, and ensuring peace in markets and other places,” he said.
KDM also committed to making investment in West Java easier to help increase labor absorption. Therefore, he requested that investment services be quick, transparent, and uncomplicated.
“I ask that services for businesses complying with the law be facilitated, while violations are handled persuasively but firmly,” said KDM.
