Garuda Spark Innovation Hub Launched, Strengthening Bandung as the Birthplace of New Digital Talent
KOMPAS.com – Bank BJB reaffirmed its commitment to supporting accelerated investment in West Java (Jabar) by facilitating The 3rd West Java Investment Roadshow 2025 at the Krakatau Ballroom, T-Tower Bank BJB, Jakarta, on Tuesday (9/23/2025).
This event is part of a series of events leading up to The 7th West Java Investment Summit 2025, which will take place in November 2025.
The event, initiated by the West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) and the West Java Representative Office of Bank Indonesia, aims to accelerate investment and promote ready-to-offer projects to both national and global investors.
The forum brought together representatives from the central and regional governments, the banking sector, international financial institutions, diplomatic representatives, and investors to explore the strategic opportunities offered by West Java.
During the forum, 16 priority investment projects worth Rp 24.6 trillion or equivalent to US$1.49 billion were presented. These 16 projects cover the agribusiness, infrastructure, energy, and development areas sectors.
Investors were enthusiastic about these projects, as evidenced by the signing of 27 letters of intent (LoI).
The West Java Provincial Government also affirmed its support for the realization of investments through easy licensing, regulatory certainty, and full facilities from the local government (pemda).
Concrete support from Bank BJB
Bank BJB is present as a financial partner that is ready to provide concrete financing support for strategic projects.
Bank BJB's participation not only accelerates West Java's economic growth but also strengthens the province's competitiveness as an integrated industrial, logistics, and education hub.
In addition to financing, Bank BJB also offers modern digital services, such as DIGI Mobile Banking and Internet Banking Corporate. These services facilitate transactions, financing, and the integration of local financial systems, and are expected to enhance efficiency for businesses and investors.
For information, the Indonesian government is targeting higher investment needs throughout the 2025-2029 period to support national economic growth.
Nine strategic sectors have been designated as priorities, ranging from new and renewable energy to the development of education and vocational training.
Various fiscal and non-fiscal incentives are offered, such as tax holidays, tax allowances, and super tax reductions for research and education. Special policies are also directed at accelerating the electric vehicle ecosystem, a sector that is now one of West Java's strengths.
With simpler regulations through the Job Creation Law, a risk-based OSS system, and the development of special economic zones (KEK) and industrial zones, West Java has gained an advantage as one of the national growth centers.
West Java itself has made a significant contribution to national investment, particularly in the automotive, transportation, housing, and industrial estate sectors. The province is also the center of the national electric vehicle ecosystem, from upstream to downstream, which is in line with Indonesia's sustainable development direction.
West Java's economy also recorded positive growth in the second quarter of 2025, supported by household consumption, increased investment, and exports to China and India. Controlled inflation, particularly due to falling food prices, provides stability for investors.
With a strong investment ecosystem, regulatory support, and active involvement from regional banks, Bank BJB is optimistic that West Java will become a gateway for investment into Indonesia and a driving force for national development towards more inclusive, green, and sustainable economic growth.
Bank BJB's participation in investment forums, such as the West Java Investment Roadshow, is expected to bring investors together with potential projects and accelerate the realization of new investments in West Java.
As a strategic partner of the West Java Provincial Government, Bank BJB reaffirms its commitment to making investment the main driver of regional economic growth.
