harapanrakyat.com – The difficulty of the licensing process that business owners must go through to enter Banjar City, West Java, often becomes an obstacle for investors to invest their capital. As a result, this is one of the factors why business owners rarely consider Banjar City as a place to start a business.
The coordinator of PT. Quan You Wood Industry, Gintara Ginting, said that the licensing service process, which is considered difficult to complete, often becomes one of the obstacles for business owners to consider Banjar City.
"Managing the business licensing process feels like a nightmare for investors who want to open a business in Banjar City," said Gintara Ginting on Wednesday (7/23/2025).
According to him, the fairly long bureaucracy and frequently changing requirements, as well as unclear information, are significant challenges, especially for business owners.
He mentioned that regulations at the central and regional levels often conflict. For example, in the region, there are no zoning regulations yet.
"This means the company has to operate first, and the licensing process follows later. Because this is a limited company and its capital is from China, with a minimum initial capital of around IDR 10 billion," he explained.
Meanwhile, regional rules do not allow activities before the licensing process is completed by the relevant authorities.
Furthermore, Ginting hopes that the local and central governments can collaborate to simplify access for investment. This would help create job opportunities.
"Like in Sragen, investors are welcomed to build their business premises without being burdened by the licensing process first. We hope Banjar City can be like that too to attract investors," he concluded.
