Indramayu | Exciting news comes from the Indramayu industrial area. PT Food Packaging Jaya or Fuling, a rapidly growing food packaging company, has achieved a proud milestone by absorbing 95 percent of the local workforce. This figure is clear evidence that investment in Indramayu can go hand in hand with community welfare.
Indramayu Regent Lucky Hakim expressed his appreciation for PT Fuling's efforts. According to him, this success can serve as a role model for other companies, especially in the Krangkeng and Losarang industrial areas, to prioritize the people of Indramayu as their main workforce.
“If possible, all companies in Indramayu should give priority to the people of Indramayu, especially those who live near the factory,” said Lucky Hakim through his video channel.
However, Lucky reminded the community to remain cautious of false rumors in the recruitment process. He emphasized that there is a potential for irresponsible individuals to try to take advantage of the recruitment process by acting on behalf of government agencies or companies.
“Don't be easily swayed by rumors. We want the recruitment process to be transparent, professional, and accountable,” he said.
To ensure transparency, the Indramayu Regional Government, through the Manpower Office (Disnaker), is preparing an integrated recruitment system. In the future, Lucky encourages recruitment to be done online so that it is easier to monitor and close loopholes for illegal recruitment.
With a digital system, data on job seekers and accepted workers will be better managed, minimizing duplicate data and creating a cleaner recruitment mechanism.
Furthermore, Lucky Hakim emphasized that the local government will continue to open its doors to investors by providing easy licensing. However, he stressed that investment must be sustainable and bring direct benefits to the community.
“Healthy investment will create broad employment opportunities while revitalizing the SME sector around industrial areas,” he said.
According to Lucky, PT Fuling's success in absorbing local labor is proof that synergy between the government, companies, and the community can create a friendly investment climate while strengthening the regional economy.
At the end of his statement, Lucky encouraged the community to be optimistic and support regional development. "Don't be pessimistic, don't think negatively. We must be optimistic. God willing, we can slowly build Indramayu to be better. The important thing is for the community to be united and harmonious," he concluded.
With 95 percent of PT Fuling's workers being local, Indramayu is now increasingly solidifying its position as an investment-friendly district and a new economic growth center in West Java.
